Erectile Dysfunction Medicines Seized In Glengormley
Erectile dysfunction medications seized in Glengormley
8 April 2011
Large quantities of unlicensed medicines have been taken by Department of Health authorities throughout a search of a home in Glengormley.
A man was interviewed by department officers about unlawfully importing and consequently providing unlicensed impotence medications by means of the web.
The 47-year-old was likewise questioned about other medication offences.
He will now be the of a report to the general public Prosecution Service.
The search was performed by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.
Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, said: “It is important that we get the message across that unlicensed medications can be unsafe.
“These types of products being offered, generally online, have undergone no quality assurance and there can be no guarantee about their security.
“You just do not know what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More importantly, you do not know the effect drugs like this might have on your health.”
